Our wonderful group of volunteers had so much fun with the kids and are already looking forward to next year! <br /><br />We were a bit nervous as the rain came about 2 hours before the event, but it ended in plenty of time for us to setup and didn't begin again until a few minutes before we were done cleaning up. Fun for ALL ages! Throw on your costumes (not required, but fun!), Grab a map of the Treats on the Trail...and get ready to run, walk, creep, crawl your way to some Halloween Fun! Costume Contests Too!<br /><br />Stay after for <em>Spooky Music</em>, Apple Cider &amp; Cookies!<br /><br />Parking available at West End of Trail, as well as BJ Salon parking lot.<br /><br />For those who live along the trail...We appreciated your participation and enthusiasm in years past! Volunteers began setting up at 3p.m. Sunday and realized within a short time that all items (including our tables) could not withstand the high force winds. By 4p.m. the decision was made to cancel the event when road signs, milk crates, and other large objects begin flying through the parking lot (hitting vehicles), blowing across the field, and over the trail. <br /><br />Volunteers stayed until shortly after the 5p.m. start time in order to advise families of the cancellation and to pass out goodie bags to those we could. We appreciate all of those who came out to support this great event and apologize for the cancellation. It was a tough decision for us, but the right one from a safety standpoint.<br /><br />We look forward to better weather next year!
